Benediction
Keith Rohrer
Love, serve and worship the God who will make sure you get home safely.
Jude 1:24-25
Wolves Inside the Wire
Keith Rohrer
Until Jesus comes back it’s always possible that a wolf will get to the flock. In addition to identifying them and dealing with them, we must help and bless each other—even those whose faith if floundering.
Jude 1:17-23
Identifying Wolves
Keith Rohrer
Know what to look for in leaders for your church—or those outside your church you invite to shape your own thinking.
Jude 1:8-16
Remember Rebellion’s Cost
Keith Rohrer
Whether Israel, angels, or Sodom/Gomorrah, God has always judge rebellion—and will continue to do so.
Jude 1:5-7
Save the Gospel that Saves
Keith Rohrer
Every believer must be equipped and ready to contend for the gospel’s integrity in his/her church—and life.
Jude 1:3-4
Wives: Only Christ’s Forgiveness can Slay your Indignation
Keith Rohrer
“I can’t believe he did that!” Like their wives, all husbands make blunders in their marriage. Perhaps because women tend to be more skilled at relationships, the biggest blunders often belong to men. Which can foster a holier than thou attitude in a wife. And yet when a woman can see the awfulness of ALL sin—and thus the enormity of being forgiven herself by Christ, it can give her a whole new compassion for her sinning husband; and the supernatural ability to forgive him.
Colossians 3:13
Wives: Only Christ’s Courage Can Slay Your Fear
Keith Rohrer
Some wives run their marriage, either because they think they’re the best leader in their marriage (“my husband’s kinda incompetent”), or because they are afraid of what he will or won’t do if given the responsibility. Or, she worries that if she “submits” to him, he will take advantage of her in some way. If she lacks confidence in her husband, a woman can both begin to empower him as the family’s shepherd—and trust him, by trusting Christ with her marriage.
1 Peter 3:1-6
Husbands: Only Christ’s Initiative can Slay our Inner Schoolboy
Keith Rohrer
Husbands are family pastors who answer to God for the condition and direction of their wives/children.
1 Corinthians 11:3, Genesis 3:1-6, 16:1-6
Husbands: Only Christ’s Humility can Slay our Inner Tyrant
Keith Rohrer
The only hope for the inner tyrant that wields power in many husbands’ lives is imitating Christ’s humility, and seeking its power through prayer.
Ephesians 5:25-30, 1 Peter 3:7
