How often do you consider the fact that God has saved you? Does it still amaze you when you consider the fact that God has saved you? In Joshua 2 we encounter the incredible story of Rahab hiding the Israelite spies to spare their lives and then asking for them to spare her life when God gives them the city of Jericho. It’s a story that displays God’s power to save and His plan to save people from all nations. We see God saving the Israelite spies from the threat of the king of Jericho even as he simultaneously saves Rahab from the threat of his impending judgment on Jericho. In this story we get a glimpse into who God saves, why God saves, how God saves. This story invites us to marvel over God’s salvation even as it also invites us to be a continued part of His plan to save others.
