Forever On Our Side

We often think of Jesus in terms of his past ministry – what he did when he lived, died, and was raised – and his future ministry – what he will do when he returns one day. But what about his present, right now, moment by moment ministry? Jesus is our Savior right now and his present ministry continues to save us. While his past and future ministry on our behalf can bring us great joy, his present ministry on our behalf is also a source of great joy for the believer. One of the ways he presently ministers is to be our advocate who is constantly taking up our cause before the Father. We can live a life of joy now because we have an inside man in heaven who advocates for us constantly.
