Filling Up

In John’s gospel he records these famous words from Jesus: “I have come that you may have life and have it abundantly.” When we think about what it means to be a Christian, probably some of the first words that jump to mind are faith, repentance, following Jesus, etc. How often are the first words that jump to mind when we think about being a Christian that we may have life and have it abundantly. This abundant life does not mean that we have an abundance of things in this life, but that we have Christ. He is meant to be the source of all our joy in this life.
