Our students will be challenged to serve whole-heartedly in a way that helps them see how God can use them to make a substantial difference in the lives of others. In doing so, they will be able to experience practical acts of service, powerful times of worship, and personal devotion and reflection.
Our group will be staying in the dormitories previously used for the School for the Deaf in Philadelphia. It is in a calm and safe neighborhood and sits on a beautiful campus. Each day our students will serve at a ministry site from morning through the afternoon, which could include anything from home repairs, mercy ministries, kids clubs, or church partnerships. Then we will return to campus for dinner, debrief, and worship together with the other churches who will be there that week. On Wednesday evening, we will be able to participate in a neighborhood outreach event serving food, helping with the program, and interacting with those who attend. We will also have one day free where will go explore and have fun together as a group. It is sure to be an exciting, challenging, and impacting week for sure!
Total cost will be $650 for the week, which includes all transportation, meals, and activities (including the night out). Please keep in mind that part of the training and preparation for this trip will include the students composing and sending out support letters to friends and family to help raise the necessary funds and we will working together to raise the entire team’s support.
