Succession at Keystone

Preaching Pastor

Keystone Church is delighted to announce that on June 23, 2021 Pastor Kyle Kauffman was confirmed to become the next preaching pastor and succeed Pastor Keith Rohrer who is retiring at the end of 2021.  After conducting a nationwide (and beyond) search, the Elder Team tirelessly vetted 85 candidates—including our own youth pastor Kyle.  In the end the Elder Team unanimously recommended him to the congregation as their choice.  Wednesday night the congregation agreed, easily carrying him beyond the needed 85% approval.

Pastor Kyle loves Jesus and loves Keystone.  While in college he served an internship with Keystone, and then was hired as the church’s youth pastor in 2014.  He and Brianna (“Bri”) have been married for 8 years and have a 2 year-old son “Oliver”.  After he returns from a previously scheduled sabbatical in August-September, Pastor Kyle will overlap with Pastor Keith until the first of January when he will become Keystone’s next preaching pastor.  Please pray for God’s grace and favor on him as our brother serves his Savior—and his Savior’s church.

Meet the Kauffmans!

Family Life Pastor and Youth Pastor

We have officially hired TWO new staff members... it's a very exciting time!

The congregation has voted in very convincing fashion to hire Joel Wood as Family Life Pastor.  He and his family are looking for housing and will arrive ASAP. The elders have also voted to hire Ben Armstrong as our next Youth Pastor.

With these final hires, the elders have officially concluded all succession planning. Praise God for his providence! Thank you for all of your prayers for the elders over this last year!
