Kitchen Fund- Let's Finish This!

Our desire is to complete the last major unfinished part of our new building: The Kitchen. God has blessed us so richly with our new facilities, and He continues to provide us with everything we need. Our prayer and our goal has always been that our church building would be a tool to bring glory to God, and to serve our community. We believe finishing the kitchen will help us to meet this goal in new ways.

We need to raise about $150,000 to complete the kitchen and install the proper equipment. That's a big number. But, we know God can provide that amount, and more! Would you be willing to prayerfully consider whether you can help meet this goal? In December, we will have two special offerings dedicated to the kitchen fund, December 7th and December 14th. Between now and then, please ask God if He would have you contribute to this fund. With the Lord leading us, together and in His timing, let's finish this!

For 15 years we held 2 Sunday worship services, did video venues for 9 years, and are again holding 3 Sunday services.  We rent nearby Paradise Elementary for Sunday morning Adult Bible Fellowship groups, and have two modular units for children’s ministries.  Looks eerily like a Waco Compound.

Bursting at the seams for years, again and again we asked God to provide us with suitable land on which to expand our facilities.  Yet for a decade it seemed that all we received were dashed hopes.  Honestly, our faith ebbed and flowed.  Then on Jan.9, 2008 we settled on our dream property: across the road were 9.85 acres we had prayed for, for 11 years.  Added to an adjacent lot we already owned, we suddenly had 11 acres on which to build a new ministry center.  God had blessed us.  But of course, He’d been blessing us all along; by testing our dependence on Him.

Working with our ministry team leaders, design/build contractor S.E. Smoker drew up plans for phase 1, and in April 2010 we launched a 3-year capital campaign called “Growing for God’s Glory” to raise the funds for a $3.7 million facility.  April 20, 2012 was the Groundbreaking Celebration with guests Dr. Steve Musser, Pastor Doug Winne, and contractor Steve Smoker.

05/19/2013 - Journey Complete

After unavoidable delays, excavation equipment finally began to arrive on site in June, 2012 and digging soon began. The new worship center was completed in April, 2013 and the first service held on May 12, 2013—Mother's Day. Dedication Sunday was May 19, the following week. Our new service times are worship at 9 AM and 10:45 AM, with Sunday school for all ages at the 9 AM service. During the 10:45 service there is a program available for children under 8, as well as an Adult Bible Fellowship for those who attend the earlier worship service. Outstanding nursery care for your infants and toddlers is available during each each service.

The new facility includes a multi-purpose room which seats 600 for worship, and converts to a gymnasium. Also included are nurseries, children's education rooms, prayer room, library, a lobby 5 times the size of the old building (!), and a sizable fellowship hall and kitchen (both of these projects will remain unfinished until funds are available). Offices and most youth ministries will remain at the existing building on 6 Pequea Drive which has been dubbed the "Youth Center".

Our new building is not a monument, but like a carpenter's level or electrician's lineman's pliers, it is a tool for gospel ministry in our community. We pray that God will use it for His glory and for the rescue of people. If you are part of Keystone Church, pray that prayer with us. And give financially so we can complete the remaining rooms.
